"As an artist who paints landscapes and tree portraits with thick, textured layers of paint, each tree I create embodies a unique emotion or sometimes represents a person or situation. My obsession with these images has lasted for over 30 years because of my powerful emotional connection to nature.

Each tree is a canvas for exploring the complexities of human emotion and experience. Through the use of colour and texture, I am able to infuse each image with a particular feeling or mood, creating a visual poetry that speaks to the heart and soul.

Whether I am depicting a lush, verdant tree bursting with life and vitality, or a twisted, gnarled tree that speaks to the struggles and challenges we face, each image reflects the human experience. By expressing these emotions and experiences through my art, I am able to connect with others on a deep, psychological level, sharing my own struggles and triumphs in a way that is both universal and deeply personal."
